- Q: What are the system and browser requirements for TONY?
a: TONY is compatible with both PC's and Macs, and will function with Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome, versions 7 and up. TONY is also compatible with Safari, for Mac and iPad users. We recommend Firefox or Chrome for optimal results.
- Q: I forgot my password. What should I do?
a: Navigate back to the AJW homepage, and click the "Login" link in the upper right hand corner. Underneath the "Log in to My Account" button, click on "forgot your password". From there, you will be able to submit a request to have your password reset. You will receive an email with reset instructions.
- Q: I didn't forget my password, but I want to change it. How can I do that?
a: Under the "Account Information" section (in the left sidebar on your main dashboard), you will be able to reset your password. Simply enter your new password and click save.
- Q: Who is my Customer Relationship Manager?
a: Your CRM's name and contact information are visible on your main dashboard, as well as during quote entry. If you ever have any questions or concerns, they are your main point of contact at AJW.
- Q: How do I prepare a new quote?
a: Click on "Get New Quote" from your main dashboard, and assign a project name. From there, click on "go" to add you first line item. Enter in the appropriate AJW model number, select it from the dropdown search results, enter your quantity, and then repeat. You may navigate between the part number and quantity fields by hitting Tab on your keyboard. To add more lines, simply enter the quantity you wish to add and click "Go", or hit Enter while your cursor is in the quantity field.
When your quote is complete, click on the "Submit Quote" button in the left sidebar. You will be prompted to select an existing ship-to address, or create a new one; this is necessary to calculate an accurate freight estimate. After selecting a ship-to address, click on "Finalize Quote". Once processed, your quote will display with line item pricing, a freight estimate, and your quote number.
- Q: Is it necessary to know the exact ship-to address for quoting purposes? This information may not be available right now.
a: Only city, state, and zip code are prerequisite for estimating freight. It's not necessary to provide a complete shipping address when you're initially quoting the project, though you will be required to provide this information when you convert the quote into an order.
- Q: Can I type in a competitor's model number during quote entry if I'm not familiar with AJW model numbers?
a: Absolutely! We have established an extensive list of competitor crossovers for TONY users. Simply type in the competitor's model number and the search box will display the appropriate AJW crossover.
- Q: When I type in a competitor's model number during quote entry, why do I sometimes get no search result?
a: A number of reasons, potentially. You may be entering it with the incorrect syntax or inverting some of the numbers; double check your takeoff for accuracy. Additionally, that particular crossover may have been discontinued by the manufacturer, or we may simply not have it accounted for at this time. Contact you CRM if you find yourself unable to interpret the specifications you're working off of; we'll be happy to help you figure it out!
- Q: How accurate are the competitor crossovers I'm using during quote entry?
a: Our list of competitor crossovers is constantly evolving and perpetually maintained. If you believe you've identified an incorrect crossover on our part, let us know about it.
- Q: Can I receive a quote with custom / non-standard items?
a: Yes! During quote entry, notice that each new line contains a checkbox called "custom item". When checked, you will be able to enter a brief description of exactly what you're looking for (example: 37" Snap Flange Grab Bar 1.5" OD, or 43"W x 19"H Frameless Mirror).
A best practice to keep in mind is that your description should be brief but comprehensive; a "35"W x 49"H Tempered Channel Frame Mirror" is obviously more descriptive than "Framed Mirror". All quotes containing custom items will be sent to your CRM for pricing, and by providing accurate descriptions, you will ensure a quicker turnaround time on your quote.
- Q: How do I make revisions to my quote once it's already been submitted?
a: Navigate to that specific quote, and then click the "Edit Quote" button, located underneath your last line item. Make your revisions as required (add/delete items, change quantities), and then click "Update Quote". You will need to reaffirm your shipping address so that we can recalculate your freight estimate.
- Q: What's the purpose of "Save Changes" during quote entry?
a: Basically, just what it says; when preparing your quote, you may click on this button at any point to save your current progress. You may then navigate away from the quote, or even walk away from your computer for a while. Your quote progress is saved and will be waiting for you when you're ready to complete it. You'll notice that on your main dashboard and in your saved quotes, any pending projects will have a status of "not quoted yet".
- Q: Why am I unable to revise my quote, or why does my quote contain no pricing?
a: Your quote may be under review by your CRM at this time; contact them for further information.
- Q: What is "Add to Quote", and how does it work?
a: When you're logged in to TONY, you will notice that the individual product pages on our website contain an "Add to Quote" button. By clicking it, you can either a) create a new quote and add this item to it, or b) add this item to an existing quote. Give your new quote a project name, or select an existing project from the dropdown box, enter your quantity, and click "Add to Quote". From there, you can either go directly to your quote to finalize it, or continue browsing.
- Q: How can I prepare a submittal package for my quote?
a: Navigate to that specific quote, and click on the "Download Cutsheets" button, located in the right sidebar. You will be prompted to either open or save the file, which will download in PDF format. The PDF will contain all of the applicable cutsheets for your quote.
- Q: How do I convert a quote to an order?
a: Navigate to that specific quote, and then click on the "Convert to Order" button in the left sidebar. Complete all of the necessary steps in the Quote to Order Conversion box, and then click "Create Order". Once processed, you will be brought to an order summary page, which will contain all of your pertinent information (including your PO and AJW order numbers).
- Q: I've submitted my order, but now I need to make a few changes. How do I go about that?
a: Navigate to that specific order. If you are looking to add/remove material, or revise quantities, click on the "Request a Revision" button in the right sidebar. You will be prompted to send your revision request to your CRM for processing; please be explicit in your description of the changes that need to be made.
If you are looking to change or modify the existing ship-to address on the order, click on the "Update Shipping Info" button in the right sidebar. You will be prompted to send the new shipping address and instructions to your CRM for processing; be sure to include any new contact information for the delivery, if necessary.
- Q: How do I look up a previous quote or order that I submitted?
a: Click on either Quotes or Orders from the left sidebar on your main dashboard. You can search by project name or quote/order number. Quotes with a status of "not quoted yet" will appear highlighted in the summary list.
- Q: Is it necessary to complete all fields in the Account Information section?
A: You should. It will allow us to efficiently get in contact with you, if necessary.
- Q: I believe I'm encountering technical difficulties, or I might have discovered a bug. Should I report it to my CRM?
A: Absolutely. For an immediate response, contact your CRM as soon as possible so that we can assist you in troubleshooting the issue. Additionally, you should formally report the issue by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Describe the issue you're experiencing in detail, and our web services department will begin working towards a solution.
- Q: My question isn't answered here or in the Help section. What should I do?
A: Report the issue to email@example.com so that our web services department can point you in the right direction.
